Botho University supports climate storytelling

While global climate conversations often focus on melting ice caps and rising sea levels, Botswana filmmaker and creative entrepreneur, Zeus Deuce, is pushing for a more localised and people-centered approach to sustainability, one rooted in Botho, community, and shared responsibility. Speaking during a sponsorship appreciation event hosted by Botho University for his climate change documentary series, Zeus said the project was inspired by the lack of African and Botswana-specific climate narratives in mainstream media. It is a clear signal that the government’s purse is empty and that our own behaviour has left veterinary officials fighting with one hand tied behind their backs.

We have been here before. During COVID-19, many of us thought we knew better. We ignored simple rules, we carried on as if the danger was someone else’s problem, and the virus took lives and left our economy on its knees.
