Runaway ex-Petauke MP, Banda, courts more trouble as Ngoni royal leaders report him to police

The Ngoni Royal Establishment has reported former Petauke Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Banda, to police for alleging that Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV was killed. Chief Nzamane IV of the Ngoni Royal Establishment denied as untrue Banda’s claims, noting that the former lawmaker was currently on the run. He strongly condemned the reported assertions, describing them as malicious and misleading, and urged the Zambian public to disregard the statements.

Chief Nzamane stressed that Banda was not Ngoni and, therefore, had no authority to speak on the matter of the late paramount chief. Banda’s baseless and divisive remarks. The late Paramount Chief was a symbol of unity who championed peace and national development,” he stated.

Chief Nzamane clarified that while Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV had the right to privacy regarding his health, it was well known that he passed away due to an illness for which he had been receiving medical care. “We therefore appeal to Mr. Banda, and all citizens, to refrain from spreading unfounded claims and to allow us to mourn our leader with dignity,” the traditional leader said.
