Commenting at the crowning ceremony, FNB Botswana Chief Marketing Officer, Peo Porogo, congratulated Gaborone United and emphasised the Bank’s broader vision. “We believe in creating opportunities that drive sports development while at the same time uplift communities, inspire young talent, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development. The FNB Premiership is a powerful example of how we drive our Grassroots to Greatness philosophy, which seeks to empower athletes by nurturing their talent, enabling their growth, and supporting their progress from the grassroots level to the professional and international success.

She added that the Bank’s investment in football is part of its longstanding commitment to shared prosperity, ensuring that the benefits of sport reach players, businesses, and communities across the country. The crowning of Gaborone United as champions brought the curtain down on another memorable season; one that showcased the growth of Botswana football and reaffirmed FNB Botswana’s role in driving impact through sport. The season will officially close with an awards ceremony slated for Wednesday 27 May 2026.
