The health and wellness expo build-up session focused on the theme ‘The Mind-Body Link: How thought patterns contribute to Illness and Wellness’. Organised as a precursor to the main Health and Wellness Expo scheduled for May 16, 2026, the two-hour morning session featured insightful presentations from a distinguished panel of experts. The guest speakers included Dr Thusang Gure (Healthcare Practitioner), Dr Keneilwe Mmopi (Physiologist), a Mind Education Expert from DTI, Reverend Chipo Mosupi (Marriage Officer), and Tshepiso Thabano (Dietitian).
Their combined expertise highlighted how negative thought patterns can manifest physically as illness, whilst positive mindsets and healthy habits foster overall wellness. Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation. So, the postponement, painful as it is, is the right thing to do.
