The robbers allegedly attacked the woman with a knife and a bottle, assaulted her, tied her up in her bathroom and fled with about R100 000 in cash, jewellery and clothing. They forced the resident into the bedroom. One grabbed her from behind and threatened to cut her heart out. He was armed with a knife with a black handle, which he used to cut her on the head, neck, shoulders and chest.
