Sport hits pause for World Relays

The Botswana Boxing Association (BBA) has taken proactive steps to support the relays, including donating boxing equipment to Debswana for exhibition during event activations. The initiative is aimed at linking sport with Botswana’s diamond industry whilst contributing to the event’s overall visibility. Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
