TWO aspiring parliamentary candidates inMoomba Constituencyhave joined forces in a campaign drive aimed at delivering massive support for PresidentHakainde Hichilemaahead of the upcoming general elections. Luse KamokoandVictoria Hamusalehave intensified grassroots mobilisation across the constituency, rallying communities to turn out in numbers and support the ruling party. The duo said their collaboration is anchored on unity and the need to strengthen party structures on the ground rather than compete at a time when mobilisation is key.
As part of the campaign efforts, Kamoko and Hamusale recently fuelled more than 30 vehicles to support transportation for mobilisation teams moving across different parts of the constituency. The exercise is expected to improve outreach efforts, particularly in rural areas where accessibility remains a challenge. The two aspiring candidates said mobilisation at this stage is critical, warning supporters against complacency as the country heads towards the polls.
They stressed that victory would not come automatically but through active participation, strong grassroots engagement and ensuring that every eligible voter is reached. Kamoko and Hamusale also called for unity among party members during the adoption process, saying the focus should remain on collective success rather than individual positions. The pair further expressed confidence thatMoomba Constituencyhas the potential to deliver overwhelming support for President Hichilema, citing what they described as visible development and economic reforms taking place under his leadership. They have since urged party structures in the area to continue mobilising peacefully and strategically in order to maximise voter turnout in the August elections.
