‎In just 24 hours, the National Stadium will tremble as the Debswana World Athletics Relays Gaborone 26 kickoff on home soil. ‎‎The question on every Motswana’s lips is; Are you ready to see our 4x400m kings strike again? ‎‎Since first stepping onto the World Relays stage, Botswana’s men’s 4x400m squad has built an enviable ‘finals only’ reputation.

They do not just show up. They dominate. ‎Their rise has been relentless.

An 8th-place finish in 2015 gave way to stunning silver medal in 2017. In 2024, the team shocked the world in the Bahamas, clocking a blistering 2:59.11 to bring home gold. Last year, the team also won gold during the Tokyo World Athletics Championships in 2:57.76.
