Misheck Mugadza, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Manicaland, praised the proactive steps taken by local farmers. “I am encouraged by the strong progress being made by our farmers who are now securing direct export deals with Chinese buyers,” Mugadza noted, emphasizing that these milestones are a direct result of Manicaland’s strategic positioning. Manicaland is no longer just a producer; it is evolving into a sophisticatedhorticultural hub.

Driven by global demand and the lucrative Chinese trade window, farmers are diversifying into high-value crops such asblueberries, pecan nuts, and chillies.
