Delivering a national briefing today, President Duma Boko said the Department of Road Transport and Safety’s renewal system had failed to keep up with growing demand, forcing government to invoke extraordinary measures. “The national transport system for renewals has been failing to keep up with the number of demand for renewals put forth in the system across the country. This has led to long queues across the country, and as a government we have taken a decision to waiver the requirement for drivers to have up to date vehicle and driver licenses,” he said.
