The beat goes on The Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of the Arts (OMIFA) is making its much-anticipated return toPakare Paye Arts Centrein Norton on September 19 and 20, 2025—and it’s bigger, bolder, and more soulful than ever And yes, the lineup is already looking Fan favorite and returning headliner Jah Prayzah is set to take the stage once again, joined by an exciting wave of artists including Feli Nandi, Jah Signal, Saintfloew, Tamy Moyo, Vee Mhofu, The Black Spirits, Agga Nyabinde, Mandava, Munya Nyamarebvu, Prestige ‘the Band’, Tatenda Mhangami, Mokoomba, and Hwamanda

And that’s just the beginning—more acts will be revealed in the coming weeks “We are thrilled to announce the first round of artists for this year’sOMIFA,” said festival founder and director Samantha Mtukudzi “We’re building on last year’s momentum and promise an even more exciting experience.”

To kick things off in true Tuku spirit, the festival will unveil a brand-new mural of Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, created by the talented Caligraph—a moving tribute to the music icon at his beloved arts centre

ButOMIFAisn’t just about music It’s a celebration of creativity in all forms—art, dance, film, fashion, and most notably, children’s voices That’s where the Tuku Children’s Program, powered by Precious Children Arts Organization (PICA), takes the spotlight This year’s theme, ‘Todii, Senzeni, What should we do?’, is a powerful call for youth to stand for positive values and say no to drug abuse—through music, dance, and drama

“We expect to double last year’s school participation thanks to the incredible response we’ve received,” said Chipo Basopo, Director of PICA The 2024 edition featured 15 schools and clubs and welcomed over 500 children This year promises even more excitement, with returning support from brands like Dairiboard, Childline, and Tamuka Transport Tickets

No worries They’ll be available soon via Magetsi, atPakare Paye, and multiple easy-to-access distribution points “OMIFA is one of the few festivals that truly puts children at the center,” said Creative Director Marcus Gora “This is how we carry forward Tuku’s incredible legacy.”
