A HATCLIFFE man was left for dead after being stabbed twice for trying to stop a fight in Hatcliffe Extension. Oscar Shumba, the man who stabbed him, has been arrested and is now being charged with attempted murder. He appeared before Harare magistrate, Jessie Kufa, yesterday and was remanded in custody.
He was advised to approach the High Court for bail considerations. Allegations are that on March 22, Tinotenda Ntepo alighted from a kombi in the company of his friends and workmates at Muzinda Shops in Hatcliffe Extension. One of his workmates realised that his friend’s father was part of a group of people who were fighting.
He intervened and took his friend’s father away from the mob which was exchanging blows. As they were talking, Shumba allegedly came with three other people and started accusing Ntepo of assaulting him. Shumba then used an Okapi to stab Ntepo on the right thigh.
