Senior Chief Musele has ordered the closure of Kisasa Market for 60 days following a mob killing incident in the area. The traditional leader said the closure is intended to allow police to carry out thorough investigations and apprehend all individuals involved. He also banned all trading activities at the market, citing a lack of cooperation from the community during the ongoing investigations.

Kalumbila Council Chairperson Shadreck Munjunga condemned the incident and urged police to ensure that all perpetrators are brought to justice. A check by the media at Kisasa Market found traders vacating the premises in compliance with the directive issued by Senior Chief Musele.
