Letters | Animals left behind

I read inThe Witnessrecently that tens of thousands of people have returned to England due to the terrible disruption of life in the Middle East, but what about all the animals?

I felt immediate concern for those wretched creatures left behind, many with no food, no water. My humble suggestion is that the veterinary surgeons give up their time and simply catch as many as they can and inject them so they die peacefully.
