Kenmare delivered emergency and first aid kits to the National Institute for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction (INGD) on Friday, 13 March 2026, in an initiative aimed at supporting communities affected by the recent floods and inundations recorded in several regions of the country. The donation, valued at more than four million eight hundred thousand meticais (MZN 4,800,000), aims to strengthen the response capacity of authorities and health units providing assistance to communities affected by the recent climatic events. The kits were prepared based on the needs currently identified in hospitals and health centres and include clinical consumables and essential medicines used in emergency care.
Among the main items are examination gloves, hydrophilic gauze, broad-spectrum antibiotics, analgesics and antipyretics, anti-inflammatory medicines and treatments commonly used in the management of infectious and cardiovascular conditions. “Kenmare is proud to continue supporting Mozambique at moments that call for solidarity and cooperation. This donation reflects our commitment to contributing in a practical and meaningful way to the national efforts to assist communities affected by the floods, while strengthening the response capacity of the institutions responsible for emergency management in the country.” The delivery of the kits was carried out in coordination with the National Institute for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction (INGD), the entity responsible for coordinating disaster prevention, management and response actions in Mozambique.
