Msunduzi Municipality Deputy Mayor Mxolisi Mkhize, who holds a black belt in karate and is a third dan and a former South African champion, this week conducted a karate session at the Kyokushin Karate Club PMB Dojo at the Protea Grounds Hall. He shared his knowledge and skills with members during the Wednesday evening session, emphasising the important role karate plays in shaping disciplined, respectful and responsible young people. We were glad to have the deputy mayor with us.

He holds a wealth of knowledge in karate as he has been participating from a young age. I have known him from when he was young and he is very passionate about karate. “We had students from as young as four years old taking part in the session,” said Kyokushin Karate Club sensei Shihan Elvis Soobramoney.
