MUSIC fans just can’t get enough of the rift between First Farai and Gift Amuli. It resulted in Amuli spending two nights in police custody and being dragged to court. It started when he accused First Farai of allegedly stealing money meant for the funeral of fellow musician Cephas Mashakada.
It has since been established that there is no evidence to support these outrageous claims which, for years, have been used to tarnish the image of First Farai. The legal proceedings officially ended on Tuesday when the case was closed after First Farai took an oath that he was withdrawing the case without being forced by anyone. However, despite this gesture of peace, some fans still find a reason to milk the incident for their comic interests.
“Zvekucourt tazvinzwa. Ko pazvibhakera anorova mumwe ndiani?” Other fans warned Amuli against being reckless while others hailed First Farai for his maturity. “Murege kudenha… Thank you, Fatso,”a fan, identified as Sharon Tapfuma, said.

Kenneth Mukanya, another fan, urged the pair to shift focus to producing quality music. “Well done, guys! Now back to the studio, fadzai nyika yedu nemangoma.” After officially withdrawing the case, First Farai told H-Metro he was never coerced to take this action and he simply did it because he wanted “peace” to be the eventual winner.
The Hurudza Express leader said he forgave the “Wamatukuka” hit-maker 11 days ago and was only waiting for court formalities to bring the matter to a close on Tuesday. “I am glad that the matter between Gift Amuli and myself has come to an end but, to be honest, no one persuaded me to change my mind.
