The 25-year-old pleaded guilty when she appeared in court yesterday on charges of cyberbullying and harassment. This follows her decision to post a viral video, in which she hurled insults at Zodwa, her daughter Mello and her partner Denzel Tadiwa Maveve. She unleashed a barrage of insults against the trio.
In the video, she abused Mello by calling her the “daughter of a prostitute,’ which resulted in Zodwa filing criminal charges against her. Princess, who is from Glen Norah, pleaded guilty to the charges when she appeared before Harare magistrate Michael Mafukidze. She was remanded in custody until tomorrow for plea recording.
Prosecutor Kanchelskis Ropi told the court that on Wednesday last week, Zodwa came across a TikTok video posted by the accused in which Princess insulted her, calling her a ‘prostitute’ and using highly offensive language. The court also heard that Princess went as far as threatening to harm Zodwa Mkandla’s daughter, Mello, saying she would beat her up if she ever met her.
