A group of holidaymakers were left in the lurch after paying for getaways that were abruptly cancelled. A group of furious holidaymakers is demanding their money back from a couple who they allegedly paid for festive holiday getaways, only for their trips to be cancelled and their refunds never issued. About 14 people claim they were scammed out of their money after booking with F and R Holiday Accommodation – run by a married couple.
Jadeen Voigt said she met the woman on Facebook in 2020 and booked a trip through the company in 2021 to Club Mykonos Resort and had a great time. In December 2025, she decided to dial the company’s number again, booking a three-night stay from January 2, for her and friends at Langebaan Country Estate and paid R16 500. Voigt says everything was arranged, but then she got a call at the last minute to tell her that the accommodation was cancelled and they still haven’t been refunded.
She explained: “We were four families. We had to leave on January 2, and then I got a message from one of the owners.
