Final works are in full swing for the inauguration of the Inhaca jetty-bridge, this Friday, 6 March, by President Daniel Chapo. The construction of the 1 kilometre-long jetty-bridge, costing around US$13 million, is being overseen by the Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC) and results from a memorandum of understanding with the Maputo Municipal Council.

In replacement, the journey will take place on Thursday, 5 March 2026, departing from the Maputo jetty at 11:00 a.m.,” reads the statement.
