Sbahle honours her roots: How her grandfather’s wisdom inspired new single ‘Ngitshele’

Umlazi-born singer-songwriter Sbahle recently released her new single, “Ngitshele”, a romantic Afro-pop track featuring Naledi Aphiwe. “Working with Naledi was amazing, she helped finish this song exactly how I had imagined,” said Umlazi-born singer-songwriterSbahle, reflecting on her new single, “Ngitshele”. Sbahle explained that from the beginning, she had Aphiwe in mind for the collaboration. “Upon our first introduction, we shared that we both follow each other’s music and thought it would be great for our fans to experience both of us in one song. When I started working on ‘Ngitshele’, she was the only person I thought of.” A central influence in Sbahle’s career has been her grandfather, who served as her mentor and protégé. “I take my grandfather’s teachings with me everywhere,” she said.
