Mozambique now has an additional strategic instrument for boosting investment attraction in the extractive sector. The brochureThe Mining Sector in Mozambiqueprovides a comprehensive overview of the national extractive industry, enabling potential investors and researchers to understand the main mineral resources exploited and exported in Mozambique, as well as the key players in each subsector.
The brochure was produced by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources of Germany (BGR) and the Mozambique Chamber of Mines (CMM), with support from the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME). It also addresses topics such as small-scale mining, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and the distribution of major mineral deposits by province, including Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) The ceremony was attended by members of the MIREME Advisory Council, diplomatic representatives, officials from BGR and CMM, and researchers in the fields of mining, oil, and gas.
