Currently, Molepolole has a waiting list of 30,000 people, and the last residential allocation was in 2006. When responding to a question from a Member of Parliament for Molepolole North constituency, Dikoloti said, “The land around Molepolole Prisons is a civic and community allocated to Botswana Prison Services.” The statement, whilst some may say, comes a little bit too late, is timely as gender-based violence (GBV) continues to haunt the country.
