Father, two young children found dead at home

A man and two children aged four and seven were found dead at a home in Shastri Circle, Tongaat, in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday. According to Prem Balram, spokesperson for Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa), they received a call for assistance just before 2 pm. Reaction officers were immediately dispatched to the property.

“Upon arrival, members of the South African Police Service and other private emergency services were already on scene.” Balram said it was established that the body of the man was located hanging inside the residence. “During further assessment of the property, two female children aged four and seven were found deceased in a bedroom.” Balram said that the circumstances leading up to the children’s deaths are subject to investigation.
