Tafelsig family finds missing brother murdered in his home

Sharief Daniels, 39, whose tragic death has left the Tafelsig community in mourning. Heartbreak has gripped Tafelsig after a man was found dead in the small shack he called home, just days after he was last seen alive by his family.​ The community of Tafelsig and the family of Sharief Daniels, 39, are reeling following the discovery of his deceased body on Sunday at 9.45pm, as he was killed in a cruel way.​ A close relative said that Daniels had been missing since Friday evening. The deceased, who is the youngest of four siblings, stayed in a shack at the back of a family member’s house in Suurberg Street, Tafelsig.

The relative explained: “On Friday night, he was at home and went to ask a family member for electricity money. He bought it and came back, and that was the last time he was seen.​ “The family went to look on Saturday evening in theshack, but it was justdeurmekaar (messy)there.”​
