Tensions are running high in Elizabeth Street in Ruyterwacht, where residents are at odds over an alleged brothel. One resident, who wants to remain anonymous, said that she regrets moving into the area because of what she perceives as being a problem house, but the tenants say her claims are false. “Apparently there are two other brothels in the area, but I am only aware of this one, which is illegal.

“I have studied this property, watching the activities that go on and came to the conclusion that this property is being run as a brothel. “There are people coming in and out the whole day for about an hour. “I started noticing cars pulling up non-stop.

I did some research of my own and started watching them. “That is when I realised they have this place up as a guesthouse, but it’s a brothel.
