FOUL-MOUTHED Malloti has openly been boasting about taking a drug which is BANNED and is considered an illegal substance in this country. Her venom has been directed at the likes of Madam Boss and Junior Spragga while she has also been mocking Zimbabwean nurse aides who are working in the United Kingdom. She said she had moved from consuming hard drugs, like cocaine, and was now consuming BronCleer (Bronco) and there was a likelihood she will have ditched the drug by next year.
“Taitomborova mahard drugs but tiriku elevator ndosaka takumwa Bronco and next year yacho tenge takusatomwa Bronco racho. “Ndaitombove mbavha, zvema drugs diki diki izvi. Amai vangu havatomborwadziwe nazvo nekuti vanoziva kuti ndaitombovhura hombe,” she said.
However, it has since been established that the BronCleer, which Malloti says she has been taking, is BANNED and considered an illegal substance in this country. Two years ago, a joint raid by the MCAZ and other sister agencies led to the recovery of 50 bottles of BronCleer in Belvedere. “BronCleer and Adco-Salterpyn opioids are considered DANGEROUS DRUGS and these cough syrups are being abused by opioid drug addicts,” said the MCAZ after that raid.

“Its misuse poses serious health risks and can lead to various complications if not used under proper medical supervision. “The MCAZ remains committed to safeguarding public health by ensuring that only authorised and regulated medicines are available on the market. “The authority will continue to work closely with law enforcement agencies to identify and apprehend individuals involved in illicit trade of such substances.” Yesterday, ZIMRA, working with other security agents in a crackdown on drugs and related substances smuggling through Beitbridge, intercepted a consignment of 800 bottles of BronCleer (Bronco) which was concealed in 20-litre containers.
In a statement, ZIMRA aid the interception was made at the light cross-border transporters’ search bay, commonly known as the Malume Zone. “ZIMRA officers have intercepted approximately 800 bottles of BronCleer cough syrup in the Malume Zone at Beitbridge Border Post,” said ZIMRA.
