Vice President Michael Usi has urged Malawians who are in the diaspora to prioritise investing in their mother country so that they can help shore up the economy. Usi told the Malawian community in Kigali, Rwanda, that it is the responsibility of Malawians to develop their own country. “You should be ambassadors of your country, speak positively about your country, make positive contributions to your motherland and capitalise on the opportunities that are there to develop your country.

“We need to utilise the expertise that is available in the diaspora community for the improvement of different sectors of the Malawi economy.
