Minister Chadzamira spearheads ZANU PF cell verification in Masvingo

MASVINGO- Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Masvingo Ezra Chadzamira has led ZANU PF’s National Cell Day engagements across the province on January 31,Express Mail Zim can report . The initiative is aimed to reinforce the ruling party’s grassroots structures and enhance direct communication between leadership and the electorate. Chadzamira’s participation included a visit to the Diso Compound in Mashava in Ward 5 of Masvingo West where he oversaw a cell verification process.

This exercise is part of a national effort to ensure the accuracy of the party’s membership database and foster member engagement. During his address to party members in Mashava, he advocated for a shift from what he termed “armchair leadership,” urging officials to actively engage with the communities they serve. He emphasized the importance of direct interaction to ensure the party remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of the populace.

“The strength of ZANU PF lies in its cells. We are here to listen, to verify and to ensure that every member is accounted for and heard. Our leadership must be felt on the ground, not just in offices,” Chadzamira stated during the engagement.

He further elaborated that the Cell Day serves as a strategic tool for grassroots empowerment and facilitation of identifiying local challenges for integration into the provincial development agenda, particularly in alignment with the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2). The engagements focused on several key areas including strategic objective membership, verification auditing and updating party cell registers to ensure accurate data. Chadzamira highlighted the importance of “Organisational integrity grassroots feedback collecting first-hand reports on community needs and local grievances.” “Responsive governance unity and mobilization reinforcing the party’s ideology and preparing for future electoral cycles,” and “Political stability development alignment linking local cell activities to provincial and national development goals (NDS2).”
