A POLICE officer of UNZA Estates, has narrated to the Chelstone Local Court how the husband nearly beat her to death while she was in her police combat. The woman came to court with her face bearing a dark bruise. Her husband, a handyman at the University of Zambia, did not deny the claims and blamed his actions on alcohol, saying that every time he drinks, he becomes violent and beats her.
