ZAMSTATS has disclosed that 8.7 percent of Zambians tested positive for HIV in 2025. ZAMSTATS further disclosed that Lusaka recorded the highest number of cases at 12.1 percent while Muchinga recorded the lowest at 4.0 percent in 2025. ZAMSTATS adds that employment levels increased from 3.9 million to 4.2 million.
Speaking at the Townhall Meeting, Thursday, Acting Statistician General Sheila Mudenda said Copperbelt recorded the second highest HIV cases at 11.6 percent.
