THE Constitutional Court has dismissed the petition where PF faction secretary general Morgan Ng’ona wanted the court to declare the Matero parliamentary seat vacant. In this matter, Ng’ona was seeking an order declaring that the National Assembly should immediately declare the Matero Constituency parliamentary seat vacant and immediately notify the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) of the vacancy. Ng’ona cited the Attorney General and the National Assembly as the first and second respondents, respectively.
