Five people lost their lives in a serious collision on the N2 near Mtubatuba last night, reports theZululand Observer. It is reported that a light motor vehicle and a tipper truck collided in Manandi along the N2, resulting in the death of four adults and one child. KZN MEC for Transport Siboniso Duma has extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those who are injured.
“We have agreed with RTI that an investigation into this accident must be launched in collaboration with the Road Traffic Management Corporation and SAPS,” said Duma. The Citizenreports thatat least 16 people were killed in accidents involving trucksin KZN this week. On Thursday, 11 people were killed when a truck and a minibus taxi collided in Isiphingo.
