This dynamic event puts the spotlight on freestyle dancers across the country, with no judges – just crowd energy and musical unpredictability. This year’s campaign is turning up the tempo with a week-long series of events designed to discover, celebrate and elevate local talent.
Reflecting on her journey, Yarona Tumelo, winner of the first-ever Red Bull Dance Your Style Botswana in 2024, shared:“Winning last year completely changed the direction of my life. It opened doors I didn’t even know existed, from international dance camps to brand partnerships and mentorships. More than anything, it showed me that our dance culture in Botswana is powerful and deserving of a global platform.
To anyone thinking about entering – this is your chance. Don’t hold back.” The competition is unique as it involves unpredictable music and crowd-voting. The DJ plays a crucial role as he curates the playlist with different genres of music to test the versatility of the dancers while adapting to the beat with their respective dance styles.
