ECONOMIST Dr Esther Banda says government should ensure stability in the Kwacha before expecting businesses to reduce prices of commodities. For the past few weeks, the Zambian Kwacha has been hovering between K19 and K20, the strongest gains achieved in years. In an interview, Dr Banda said it was unfair to expect a reduction in commodity prices from businesses when the economy had been bad for a long time.
