National Congress Party (NCP) leader, Peter Chanda, has endorsed Patriotic Front (PF) hopeful Makebi Zulu as the party’s preferred presidential candidate, a move that adds another twist to the unfolding political dynamics within the former ruling party. Speaking during a media briefing, Chanda said the decision was not personal but reflected the collective will of the NCP. “At our General Conference held on November 18, 2025, the delegates spoke clearly and unanimously that we work with Counsel Makebi Zulu,” he said.

“And today, in the spirit of transparency and patriotism, I make that decision public,” he said.
