A mother and her five-year-old daughter passed away after being struck by lightning in an informal settlement outside Sasolburg yesterday. According toSedibeng Ster, Vaal Emergency Care Private Ambulance Services reported that they received a distress call about a lightning strike involving a mother and two children in the informal settlement. “After locating the scene, we assisted Free State EMS with stabilising a toddler who was carried by the mother when they were struck by lightning.
