Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer and confiscated dagga plants at a house in Sunnydale. ​On Wednesday afternoon at around 3.45pm, a joint operation between Ocean View SAPS and The City of Cape Town’s Metro Police cracked down on a home in Capri. ​Members found dagga plants of various strains, dagga cultivation equipment, bags of ready-rolled joints and a large amount of cash, believed to be money from the smuggling.

​A 43-year-old man was arrested for dealing drugs, and he is expected to make his court appearance once he has been charged. Police spokesperson Constable Ndakhe Gwala confirmed: “A joint operation between Ocean View SAPS members and Metro police led to the seizure of dagga plants and huge sums of money at a house in Capri Sunnydale. ​“On Wednesday, January 28 at about 3.45pm, the team executed a search warrant at the mentioned address.

​”They found dagga plants, dagga cultivation equipment, and an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime. A 43-year-old male suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs.
