Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Newcastle United played out a 1–1 draw at the Parc des Princes in their final UEFA Champions League league phase match on Wednesday night. The results left both clubs outside the top eight and heading into the Champions League play-off round. The draw leaves PSG and Newcastle on equal points in the group standings but just outside the top eight, meaning neither secured direct entry to the knockouts.
