A MEDICAL specialist in psychiatry has told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that most married women who are sexually abused develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which presents symptoms of hyper-vigilance, avoidance and low mood. Dr Naeem Dalal says 70 percent of individuals who have been sexually abused experience tonic immobility, an involuntary biological experience where the victim’s brain disconnects from the rest of the body. This is in a matter in which Miracle Impact Ministries International Overseer Pastor John Nundwe, alias John General, was dragged to court for allegedly raping a married Matero woman.
