I have always maintained that test units are good to have for a week. But even better is when you receive a unit for a longer term, and that’s when you really get to know the vehicle better, due purely to the added time spent with the unit. The Duster from Renault ticked all the boxes on several fronts.

It is definitely one to consider if you are indeed in the family SUV market. The Duster has been improved on several front that makes the all-round driving and trips that much more comfortable. It offers very smooth acceleration on take-off and a pleasing ride on all terrain.

But best of all was a long drive on the N2 and the N3 to really bring out the best in fuel consumption, ride quality, luggage space and more. Plenty of cabin space and with the rear seats folded down, you can load up luggage, surf-boards, golf clubs, etc, and head off for an adventurous weekend. But it is also up to the task of driving in urban traffic or even the national highways for that office commute.
