Inside Mzwinila, Moagi DCEC probe: same faces, same companies

The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) has laid out strikingly similar allegations against former ministers Kefentse Mzwinila and Lefoko Moagi.

Applications before the courts brought by the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) point to a recurring pattern: Chinese-owned companies doing business with government entities under the ministers’ portfolios, money and assets allegedly flowing through intermediary local firms owned by Chinese nationals and benefits ending up in the hands of the two men. The former ministers have since denied any wrongdoing.
