LUSAKA Mayor Chilando Chitangala says the Lusaka City Council (LCC)’s revenue collection has improved, with the Council now collecting over K100 million every month. Chitangala says the Council’s revenue collection now stands at 90 percent, which is an improvement from the 67 percent and 57 percent that was collected in 2024 and 2023, respectively. Speaking when she featured on Hot FM, Friday, Chitangala said the Council has had challenges with revenue leakages but the situation is slowly improving.

“I would be happy if at the end of my tenure we’ve collected maybe 80 percent and 20 percent is just leakages and then we work over that, and these are bus stops and markets but where other local revenues are concerned,… Do you agree that child defilers should be castrated?
