Rarely do men get the space to mingle and open up about issues that affect their well-being. The platform provided a networking space where every member shared their curriculum vitaes for others to appreciate. To cap it all, there was a presentation on mental health and general well-being by Dr Francis Malunga.

Blantyre City Mayor Isaac Jomo Osman graced the event and he appreciated the initiative. He said: “I am pleased that I am part of this gathering for the second year running. These platforms help to shape our perspective on various issues.

“Personally, I have gained a lot from such interactions. I always say I don’t have a classmate, but I learn a lot in spaces such as these.” CapeStars, distillers and marketers of liquor spirit, were the official sponsors of the event and its director Wilkins Mijiga said it was inspiring that establishments such as Newz Cafe are able to drive such meaningful initiatives. “We have the necessary human resources and this gathering is evident to that.
