Rail traffic on the Limpopo line, which links the Port of Maputo to Zimbabwe, has been suspended due to heavy rainfall affecting large parts of the country, Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM-Sul) said in a statement.
The measure is intended to ensure the safety of passengers, goods and railway infrastructure, CFM explained, adding that efforts will continue to restore normal operations as soon as safety conditions are re-established.
