Rob Haswell, and a few others, have a unique way with words. In Uncle Rob’s case, (he always refers to his age, in order to drive home emphatically nostalgic memories), in much the same way as the Bee Gees: music to one’s ears. Beautiful!
Who will forget “elementary” Tony Watson, running around the “invincible” Blue Bulls, as if he himself was invincible, to score the winning try in the then Natal team’s first ever Currie Cup glory. But, as always, there’s a “spanner in the works”. Hardly has the “sharkfest” been revived, when we are reminded of that ugly, sinister word “ interim”.
How must Pietersen feel, knowing he’s creating glory for someone else to claim in the near future? He has always been a quiet person, not flamboyant, doing his talking on the field. No doubt, he’ll continue talking his magic “words” on the field, and not be bothered by the boardroom antics.
