Born and raised in Daveyton, Constable Nobuhle Mnisi (30) is the newly appointed Social Crime Prevention co-ordinator and communication officer in Duduza. Her role blends her passion for education with the realities of policing. Mnisi explained that she excelled academically from an early age.

“I taught adults and children from around the world, and the experience gave me confidence, cultural awareness and valuable communication skills,” explained Mnisi. “The role was one of the best periods of my life because it gave me a taste of an old dream, which was to become a teacher. “I was inspired by my Grade Six teacher, a woman whose kindness and commitment made me want to follow the same path.

That dream, however, remained elusive.” Despite her strong academic record, in 2018 she decided to explore options within the SAPS. After completing a long recruitment process, she was accepted for training. In 2019, she joined the SAPS College, graduated, and began her career on the ground at the Duduza SAPS.
