A 32-YEAR-OLD woman of Kamanga has told the Chelstone Local Court that she was publicly humiliated after a colleague accused her of being a prostitute and having syphilis, following a dispute over their shared shop. Kasonde Chewe has sued Isaac Nijere, 26, for defamation of character, stating that his statements caused her public humiliation and damaged her reputation as a church leader. Standing before Magistrate Charity Milambo, Chewe explained that the dispute was triggered after she locked the shop, leaving her colleague without access for a day.
She testified that she and Isaac are colleagues who share a rented space, where she plaits hair while he twists braids. “I’m 32 years old, I live in Kamanga, and I’m a business… Do you agree that child defilers should be castrated?
