Howick murder: One person found dead with severe wounds in Zuzokuhke informal settlement

One person has been found dead with severe injuries in the Zuzokuhke informal settlement in Howick on Monday night, in what is being investigated as a suspected murder. Midlands EMS spokesperson Roland Robertson said emergency crews were dispatched after reports of a person discovered at a residence under suspicious circumstances.

On arrival, it was established that one person had sustained extensive and severe wounds. “Paramedics conducted a full assessment; however, the patient showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on scene due to the severity of the injuries sustained,” he said.
