A female police officer from eSikhaleni in KZN is under investigation following an alleged assault on a civilian who visited the local police station on Friday evening to open an assault case. “Internal investigations will be instituted, after which the necessary steps will be taken,” says Magwaza. According to a community leader who is close to the victim, the incident bears similarities to a previous case at the eSikhaleni Police Station in September, during which a civilian was killed.
The source alleged that the same policewoman was involved in that incident and claimed she had previously shown a lack of respect toward community members.
